Same way you paint anything else. Clean well with TSP and let dry thoroughly. Then prime, then paint. Best to take doors and hardware off for best results. See if these help!

Clean them well, put on a good quality primer such as Zinsser Bullseye 1-2-3 and then paint your two coats over that with your enamel paint. If you have a lot of cabinets you can tint the prinmer to the same shade as the top coat.
Hi You can use Annie Sloan Chalk paint or Jolie paint over surfaces that are not wood. :)
