Remove them from the oven. Spray with undiluted vinegar and allow them to sit for an hour or so. Wipe them down with a tin foil ball. Rinse.

I spray them with oven cleaner, I like Dollar Tree Awesome Grill and Oven Cleaner in the black pump spray bottle. Then put in a garbage bag outside in the sun and let sit while cleaning oven, and then do the racks. I use brillo pads if there are any burnt on bits.

I have a self cleaning oven and simply leave the racks in the oven to clean them. When the oven is completely cool, remove the racks and wet wipe them down with a little white vinegar. Easy breezy!

For standard cleaning, use a soapy sponge and hot water to wipe the racks. For stubborn messes, soak oven racks in hot water, dish soap, and a couple scoops of baking soda. Let the racks soak in this mixture for 15 to 30 minutes before scrubbing clean with a soft sponge.

  • I've used a plastic garbage bag, placed the racks in them, poured in a bit of ammonia and let them sit over night. Cleaned them right up with minimal effort.
