What is the most popular window treatment for living & bed rooms now?

A light weight cornice window treatment that looks to be upscaled and modern looking is popular with people I know now. Here is one example. A second idea I am seeing a lot is faux window stained glass which can be done with contact paper, plastic film and water, or glue and paint. Melissa....I like blinds and just a valance. It's really just a matter of opinion and taste.

Since I don't follow "trends" to me it doesn't matter. What are you looking for? High end like in Architectural Digest? Or something to compliment the style of the home? Yet easy to care for without spending a fortune on dry cleaning every season?

It really just depends on the window and your taste. Some windows don't have space around the perimeter so you would need to do shades or blinds. If you have room you can do panels. A cheap option is to use those painters drop cloths. As far as trends go I am hearing that shutters are no longer popular.
