How can I frame my octagon mirror?

I need a few different options for framing my octagon mirror? I’ve used tile in one bathroom and frankly this mirror and bathroom a wood trim frame would look best. But I’ve never done it.... I have all sizes of trim and a brad nailer and miter. (I jumped in head first for conquering my DIY destiny). Anywho, tell me what ya got!?!?

How about making a "faux" frame using etching powder? Tape off the border with masking tape and apply the etching powder for the correct amount of time and you will have a frosted looking border. This will not only look great but will keep the weight down since there will be no wood, tile or other material on the glass.

You could use the lite weight faux wood trim (styrofoam) to cut and attach to your mirror. It’s easy to cut and can attach with double sided tape.
If you are looking for a wood frame here is an option. Since you have a miter you should have no problem cutting the angles. Enjoy the project!
