How to spruce up the sides of solar lights?

I put so many in my garden it looks like a white/yellow runway, so I thought about making them like Tiffany lamps, but because of rain I can’t use tissue paper and would material be too thick? Maybe I can glue something to the out side of them so the light isn’t so white/yellow. Any idea welcomed please.

how about color cellophane like we use to wrap easter or gift baskets

  I could ask at the store what paint to use so the light shines through. I used to put poster paint on my porch lamp light bulbs. Maybe I should just paint the little bulbs inside the solar lamps. Well, you got me thinking. Thank you.

How about using stain glass paint on the outside. A coat of clear spray paint to waterproof it.
