How can I organize my office which is a small bedroom with a closet?
I have files, shelving units, a 5 foot narrow table covered with stuff, and all my papers, household extra decor is everywhere in there. My personal tax information I box up and put in the garage after my accountant is
through with it. Clutter is a good word for my office. My computer and printer take up some of my desk. I was in a book group so one 6" shelving unit is all filled with books which although I will probably never read again ,I don't seem to give away. Help!

Hi Marlene, the first thing I would say is that if you can get rid of anything, do it. The less stuff you have, the less you will have to manage. I finally gave away a ton of books I've been holding on to for years. It was hard to do, but it really cleaned up the area and gave me more shelf space to organzine the items I could not get rid of (like tax papers, etc.). Also, I added a skirt to a table in our desk area and popped a few clear rubbermaid tubs under there. It might be a good solution for your decor or papers. https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2014/11/ring-clip-skirted-table-easy-diy.html
I agree with Kim. Get rid of anything that you can. I use a peg board in my office for more storage.
