How do I attach weathered boards to the edge of a table?
How do I attach weathered boards I'm not painting to the edge of a table, in order to make a frame around the table top? I'll fill in the frame with wood blocks and I'll glue the blocks to the table top, but I'm not sure how to attach the frame. I didn't want nail holes to show. Since the boards are weathered, I can't use wood filler to fill in screw holes. Finishing nails? Wood glue?

One way to accomplish what you want to do is the with pocket hole screws. See the link below if you are not familiar with this type of joinery. Don't be intimidated. It is not as hard as it may appear at first. The jig can be purchased at big box stores and online. Another method is to use corner blocking where the legs attach to the frame. The screws/bolts will go into the weathered boards from the back. A third method would be to have a cleat attached to the top that you can then use to attach the boards to from the back as well.

Pocket hole screws or a nail gun with finishing nails would do the trick.
