There is still time to create festive Fourth of July Crafts! Try these inexpensive and easy star coasters. I made them as coasters, but they can be used for any type of decorations! I found a cookie cutter that was the size I wanted. I used the cookie cutter and traced it on my 1/4" plywood.

I cut out the stars, with my saw.

Here is one cut out.

I sanded any rough edges.

I used a watered down multi-surface paint in red white and blue. The multi-surface paint is more durable and should not need to be sealed. If you use regular acrylic, you will want to put a varnish, or polyurethane over them.

Be sure to get the edges and the bottoms too!

When they are done, they are the perfect size for coasters. They are an easy shape to cut out. They also look great as decorative table scatter.
