DIY No Cost Pallet Coffee Table for My Patio

3 Materials

I wanted to add something to my new patio space and since recently making some large planters out of old pallets,

I decided to make a coffee table for my patio using more of the old pallet boards.

I knew what size I wanted the table to be but that was just about it, so after I had the pallet boards ready to use I measured the boards and the length was perfect. They were 40 inches long.

So I simply laid the boards on the ground to figure out how many I would need for my width. I decided to use 5.

To attach them together I simply laid another board across the top and marked where I needed to cut it.

I was going for simple and rustic with this project.

I attached 2 boards to the top section, 4 inches from the edges.

Then it was time to work on the ends.

I basically made two end panels the same way, just changing the measurements for the height and when I attached 2 boards I placed them on the edges instead.

I needed something to attach the end panels to, so I flipped the top over and attached 2 more boards across the width but 2 inches from the edge which allowed plenty of space for the end panels.

Then I simply used my square and attached the end panels

to the top.

Then I went ahead and attached another board across the top, as well as on the bottom on each side of the table to make it very sturdy and ready to use.

Love how it turned out, and it was a no cost project because I used what we already had on hand!

The overall dimensions of the table: 40" long x 19" wide x 16" tall

I love the rustic look of the old weathered boards and think it works perfectly in the space.

I also made a short video of the process if you'd like to check it out.
