Original plant or succulent (if you can please tell me what it is).
What should I do with this plant?

The pictures shown are of the original plant, the long (stalk grew from the plant.) My question is can and how do i remove the growths safely and can I start new plants. Also should I cut off the long shoot or should I leave on the plant.
This is the shoot of the plant that I don't know how to cut? or whatever I am supposed to do to start a new plant. I am not sure if you can see the second little shoot just above the bigger shoot . Its just coming up.
This is the original plant that the shoot grew from. all the leaves that were on the shoot fell off. except for two on the bottom of the shoot.

Obviously some sort of succulent. Name, I have no clue.
This is what I would do.
Cut the rogue stalk off at the base. Have several additional pots on the ready with fresh cactus and succulent mix in them. Then I would cut the stalk into 6" to 9" sections and just plop them into the waiting containers and just start new plants from them.
Succulents grow like weeds for me and thrive on neglect, but in my area do need to be watered more often in summer as it gets brutally hot here with extremely low humidity.
Yes, better to tame it now instead of waiting until it grows into Audrey II (Little Shop of Horrors).
