Pour some baking soda down the drain. Then pour down some vinegar. Immediately cover the drain with a cloth and press down. If a double sink cover both drains.

Hello there, Sounds as though you have a bit of a build up of gunk in the trap. Either undo the trap and release the gunk or pour down the sink a liquid sink unblocker from the supermarket or use a Plumbers Plunger!

Remove as much as possible with a snake or drain cleaning tool. Pour ½ cup baking soda then ½ cup white vinegar in the drain and cover, letting sit for 20 minutes. Boil water, remove cover, and pour water down the drain. You may have to repeat the process.
