Scraping is probably your best bet. Get a floor scraper to save your back.
Scrape and wash down with acetone.

This can be a slow-going job requiring patience to stick with the task at hand. (no pun intended).
Hi Julie. Use a heat gun to reheat the adhesive for easy removal. You will start to see the glue warming up. Use a scraper to remove the adhesive at that time. You can also use very hot water to reheat the adhesive. Soak old towel in very hot water and place on top of old adhesive for 3 to 5 minutes to reheat the glue.
