I have a chain link fence between me and my neighbor who keeps their back yard a mess. How can I screen off the fence without building another fence,

You can buy privacy slats that you insert into the chain link. You can buy them or roder them at your local home improvement store like Menards, Lowes, etc. You can also order them on Amazon.

We used plastic slats. Bought them for about 1/4 of the new price for used ones in great condition. There are also semi solid rolls of material you can attach to the fence itself. This site on amazon will show you in greater detail.

Hi Deanna. The entire perimeter of our backyard is planted with arbor vitae's. They grow slim and very tall. It looks like a wall of lush greenery. I love the privacy they give us. That's what I recommend for you. Good luck.

Thank you, this might work since the chain link fence is only 5 feet tall. How long does it take to grown to full height?

You could add mesh material or grow vines on it.

  • I’ve seen these sort of bushy artificial plant fence covers for chain link though I’m unsure of how pricey they are.
