How do you restore headlights?
I just got a used pickup truck. I was wondering how to restore the headlights and tail lights. It's an older model. Thanks in advance.
I will never restore my lights all I do is to order new ones from eBay they are so cheap and you get brand new shine light even you can get the new LEDs or HID .... do not waste your money in restorations it's useless
Ok thanks
Sound advice from Emmanuelle, especially considering that your safety on the road often depends on how well your vehicle can be seen by other drivers.
Plus, the LED lights are more long lasting that the old style.
I did my daughters car. Used a White (not gel) toothpaste and a damp cloth. A dab of toothpaste on the cloth and rub in a circular motion a small area at a time. Keep the toothpaste moist. A separate wet cloth squeezing water as you rub. Wipe as you go along to see the progress. Once done put some paste wax over the lenses.
Thanks so much. Will try this.
Try WD-40
Tried it. Looks good when wet until you wipe it off. Doesn't work.
