I used cement paint to paint our basement floors. It was great because it sealed in the floors, made them easy to clean, and they looked nice. Just go to your local hardware store and ask them for concrete floor paint. It comes in a variety of colors so you can pick the one you like best.

Thanks Laura, did you have to prep the cement with anything before using the concrete floor paint?

I used concrete floor paint, too and loved it as Chas mentions. Just be aware that it will need repainting every couple of years to keep it nice. I think it is worth it, though

Regardless whether it is indoor or outdoor, you can use this paint for concrete!! It is fantastic paint and really soaks into the top layers of concrete. IT IS NOT CONCRETE STAIN though so if that is what you are looking for, stain is not paint. I wrote a post on this exact thing..... https://karupp-did.net/patio_painted/. I go into detail on how to paint a concrete patio floor but you can totally use this paint indoors on cement. It was fantastic! With this paint you can pick any of the SW colors to tint the concrete paint! Follow the directions in the post. It was easier than painting a bedroom to be honest.

Hi Cindy, I did vacuum the floor then wash it and let it dry first before using the paint :)
