I decided to make a flowerbed much bigger and here is how I went about this garden project.

This flowerbed has changed SO much over the years.. early spring I actually made it bigger to include a pink flowering dogwood, but I still wanted to make it bigger.

Here is my design idea.. I want to go ahead and include my blue spruce in this garden space, I think that it will tie in nicely in this spot and it will give some pretty winter interest in this flowerbed as well as the pretty blue color!

So I had my design figured out and go to work.. I dug out the outline and then looked at it from different angles to be sure and I liked the overall look so it was time to really get to work.

I removed all the grass and weeds and what a feeling of accomplishment to see the result!

After adding mulch.. what a significant difference, I am so happy I chose to make it bigger. (again) :0)

I know the shape may look a little odd at this point, but I do have

a plan for the future where it makes more sense. Lol.

(I share more on that in the video/blog post as well)

Now I am on the search for more beautiful plants for this space.

Let the fun begin. icon
