How to Make a Backyard Ring Toss Game

Summer is the perfect time to play yard games with your friends. Corn hole is great, jenga is fun, ladder toss is a laugh. Mix it up with this DIY Ring Toss game! We made this game in 15 minutes (plus drying time) so it is a super simple build.

We used 3/4" plywood to build this. The top is 2 foot x 2 foot square. Cut two triangles with a right angle bottom and a 2 foot diagonal to form the sides.

Sand everything well so it is smooth where you cut the wood.

We attached everything with the brad nailer.

We cut a dowel into 3 inch sections and screwed them in to create the pegs. Stain or paint the whole thing. If you want to leave it outside, use outdoor stain or sealant.

We actually built this game for an olympics-themed baby shower. So, we painted olympic rings on it. However, you could paint any design or leave it plain. So many possibilities!

For rings, we actually used flexible pool swimming rings! They are inexpensive and the perfect weight. We made different colors different points and if you match the color ring to the color peg, bonus points! Enjoy your game!

Love this. Bet everyone did also. Very cool with colored ring scoring. Great share and job.
