Should I cut back lilies after they bloom?

My lilies have bloomed already. Can I cut them back or leave as is.

If they have wilted you can cut back. If not leave them so they will strengthen the bulb.
Hi Bonnie, I like to leave mine until they die back on their own, but you can cut them back if you like, they do turn nice colors as they die back.

You can cut the flower stalk off, but the leaves feed the bulbs, tubers or rhizomes while the leaves die back. Wishing you the best.
You can cut them back but you need to wait until they brown on their own, then they have absorbed all the nutrients for next year's blooming and you can cut them. I saw Martha Stewart tie hers in little bundles while they died back so her garden would look neater. If it bothers you, you can make decorative bundles. Just fold them over and take a few outside leaves and wrap them around. You could braid them or whatever you think looks cool. If you do cut them back green, they don't bloom the following year.
