How can I plant vegetables without a tiller?

plant them in pots outside and water in them and turn them everyday that is what i am doing and no digging or messes

Michelle has a great idea & that's what we do-container gardening! It takes out all the hard inground work. There are plants-such as bush varieties of tomatoes also known as patio tomatoes, that do very well in containers. They produce really good yields and are compact, also easy to find at stores like Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes...just visit their garden section-ask for guidance from the staff if you need it in locating these plants. Usually the tomato plants will say patio on their plastic identifier card.

Be sure you drill holes in the bottom of your containers for drainage. Another way to make this easier for you is to add empty plastic water bottles to the bottom rather than gravel-this makes moving them much lighter with the same effect as gravel.

Another thing you might consider is raised bed gardening, there are all levels of raised beds to accomodate your abilities to garden and not do tilling. Amazon carries these raised beds and they are stackables. Local stores probably have them as well.

We added dirt and compost so that we had dirt that was easy to plant in. It's much easier than trying to dig in the existing dirt.

Container gardening is the way to go...I either buy large empty containers, or, haunt the dollar stores for replacements. I use Miracle Gro soil, it's not a heavy soil but great for container plants! Whats great about containers is you can move them if necessary...Just make sure you have drainage holes in your containers...good luck in your planting!
