How do I support airplants?
Mine have frown out of the shells I had them in and I did this using sand. I’ve never had air plants before and can not find anything about supporting them up in sand, is this ok?

Hello there, The can be re attached to a piece of bark or wood with glue!
Hi Michelle, I like the way you have your air plant garden arranged and they should be just fine. I have air plants sitting on pebbles and they haven't been finicky about where they are placed. Once a week (sometimes I forget and it may be 2 weeks), I sit the base of my air plants in a shallow dish of water for 30 minutes. Then I let them dry on a paper towel before I place them back in their home.
Sand is fine, but by their nature, they like to be almost surrounded by air. If the sand gets wet, they might begin to rot. You can glue them to pieces of mulch or rocks to get them elevated. Give them a misting if you don't give them a bath as Tricia does (more like twice a week that the every-other-week bath - even more often if you have dry air) and they'll be quite happy. Cute little garden!
What type of glue do you use? Please and Thank you.
I do give mine a water bath once a week and a mist in between. I was worried the sand might dry them out. I do not put them back until they are completely air dried to prevent rot. If I glue them onto wood how do I bath them? Wood and all? I notice a few of my tips have gone brown they are not in direct sunlight is there another reason for this?
I don’t have my air plants glued to anything I have them propped up in sand. I have seen that people use a hot glue gun but wait for the glue to cool down and become tacky before attaching the air plant.
See if these help you.
