Have you and anyone ever used pallets for a privacy fence?

We aren't able to buy the privacy fencing and we had thought about using pallets for our privacy fencing. I would sand, stain and make it look nice, but was wondering how we could get them in the ground, stand or if it could be done and not look weird?. If anyone has done one I would like to see it.
