How to fix a tear in a leather purse?

My favorite leather has a worn tear on the bottom of the bag. Any suggestions on how to fix it. I’d like to attempt to fix it before I resort to shoe cobbler. Thanks

Janet in my experience it’s best to go to the cobbler. In attempts of saving money or diy you may do more harm than good or spend more money than you would have.
