I used cinder blocks to make a raised garden. I stacked them up like you would when laying a wall then put dirt in the middle for the garden. A person on here did suggest putting poles down through them into the ground every so often to keep them from shifting but I didn't and wish that I had because the blocks lean in some places where the ground has heaved. There was also a listing on here where they built benches out of cinder block and wood boards which was cute. And another where the stacked cinder blocks like a corner of a wall so that it was about 4 rows high and then put plants in the holes. I also used a bunch of broken cinder blocks that I had to make a path way to and from the garden to the driveway. Have fun
You can use them to line the edge of your garden, you can put soil in the holes and plant flowers/plants in them, you can use them to raise areas in your garden by putting soil over them to make "hills"
You can break them into pieces and make a fairy/gnome garden with raised areas lined with the smaller cinder block pieces.
You can make a raised garden. If your garden is on the large side you can lay them level with the soil and use them as stepping stones so you can get to hard to reach areas easily without stepping on flowers
use as variegated planters. Stand them up, burry the end into the dirt at various lengths. You can decorate clay pots, and put flowers in the pots, thus putting them on the cinder blocks.
