How to get rid of fleas?

Hi Vikki, sorry you are having problems with fleas. First you must treat the cats every month with the flea preventive you get from your vet. If you buy the cheap stuff from Walmart it does not work and could kill your cats. Vacuum, vacuum and vacuum some more. Fleas can get in furniture and bedding. Please start with treating the cats and it will get better. Good luck

I agree with Peggy, don't get cheap medicine, it will kill the cat's. We use Avandage for our cats, one was allergic to the flea bites, and chewed most of her hair off and bled. Advantage was a life saver. Good 👍 luck.

Vinegar works well. I have 6 cats too. And vacuum vacuum vacuum and change the bag or dump the canister every time you vacuum and wash all their bedding. If they go outside, spray the perimeter of your property and base of your house with vinegar once a month. Needs to be reapplied after every rain event.

Diatomaceous earth. Google it. You can even put it on your dog. You can feed it to your dog - or your self. No matter. It is safe to have around pets and children. Wonderful stuff. I bought mine at a farm supply store.
