You'll need to clean and then sand off the best you can.
WOW! The water penetrated the wood and brought out the tannins. Only solution I can think of is to sand the stain off with 220 grit sand paper. You don't say what kind of wood. Light wood like pine, maple can be bleached.
You can buy a wood bleach called oxalic acid from Ace Hardware. It’s special order from Home Depot. Or you can buy it from Amazon.com. It’s a powder that is watered down, usually 1/2 cup per gallon of water. You brush it on the stains, let it dry, then reapply till the water stains are gone. Be sure to wear gloves and eye protection.
