Hi Richard, this is Peggy. Here is some information on getting rid of Bermuda grass from your lawn. Good luck Because it's so tough and persistent, most professionals and homeowners use an herbicide (generally glyphosate) to kill it. They spray, strip off the dying sod, irrigate to generate growth of any surviving rhizomes, and then repeat the process at least once (one treatment rarely kills a Bermuda lawn).

Was told by our lawn service years ago the only sure way to get rid of Bermuda was to MOVE.
Otherwise it is an ongoing battle.

I’ve been told Ortho Over-the-Top will kill crabgrass. You would have to do spot treatments or you will kill all your grass. OTT goes down the root system to kill all of it.
Hi Richard. We use the Scott's 4-step program. My husband applies it with a walk-behind spreader. It does a great job and we are happy with results. We only put it on our front lawn. Including the backyard would get pricey. Also we have kids and dogs. Good luck Richard.
