Google my friend, Google. When no one is around for help, that is the place to start.
First you need to thoroughly clean the fence before you do anything. Dig down a couple inches or so below grade too. Power washing is good but it does need to dry out before you can stain. So pray for a few days with no rain in the forecast.
Put the dropcloths over anything you don't want covered in stain. And I would practice first with the paint sprayer to get your technique down first. Scrap wood, foam core board from the dollar store, anything you have.
Stain your fence. Work in sections. Where I live, no one seals them so that it is easier to refresh when needed. It is bone dry here, with little rainfall. If you live where you receive lots of rain or snow, you might consider sealing them. Just know that when you need to refresh, all that sealant will need to be sanded off before you can restain.
See if these help you out.

Hello Belinda, Use "Wet and Leave" to remove the moss. You just spray it and leave it . It will clear the moss. Then use a Fence colour and preservative in you sprayer. Be sure to say you intend to use the Sprayer as the others are for Brush Application.
Lots of colour are available. Protect any plants you need to...........Good luck!
