Vinegar will remove minerals from tea kettles. Let it soak if you can for best results, scrub and reapply if needed. Wipe with vinegar frequently to avoid build up.

All the comments will work, when using vinegar add a couple of tablespoons of baking soda or use grapefruit juice let stand for a couple of hrs , best and easiest is having a home steamer, will clean your kettle in 30 seconds. JFBENWAY
