How do I keep or kill potato bugs off my potato plants?

The organic way is to pick them off and squash them. Maybe spraying them with vinegar would upset their metabolisms without harming the plants.

The vinegar could kill the potato vines. But if the potatoes are nearly grown and you are desperate, try some dilutes vinegar on one plant anyway. I have kept a Mason jar with a little water and ammonia in the bottom to drop the bugs in. When I finished plucking bugs, I put the lid back on and let the bugs die out of my sight. When I stopped using Sevin dust on the garden, I tried using bath powder and baby powder mixed, from a powder container, with a big fluffy powder puff, on the undersides of vegetable plants. But plucking the larger bugs was most specific. Now that this old goat is through sharing a memory, let’s see what others have to say. Best wishes, Jewell.
