What to do with kitchen and door hangers that are not wide enough?

Purchased a clothes hanger for a door and a cup hanger for the kitchen online and they are not wide enough to fit on the door or my kitchen cupboard. They are from China and do not know what to do with them. Both are about 2 cms or 3/4 inches wide. Any suggestions?

Can you share a photo? I am having a hard time envisioning exactly what you purchased.
Jacqueline: if they were from Amazon, they are very good about returns.
I would try returning or exchanging first. If that isn't an option, can you hang them with Command strips or attach them with screws if you remove the top brackets?
I purchased this from Wish. Very difficult to get it returned or cash back. Waiting for one more thing and done shopping there. Wish is not a very good site to purchase anything but really thought I was saving money. I do know now!
