I have a hexagon shaped screen tent on my back deck. I put it up in the spring and take it down in the fall. The hexagon shape of the roof is the most effective for draining rain water in a downpour. The rectangular roofs tend to collect water, sag, and can rip if the water is removed. For about 200.00 you can have a screen "porch" on your back deck. Mine is made by Coleman. It is secured to the deck by both screws and tie downs. It has survived many a summer storm with high winds and rain. I do have to replace the top about every 3-4 years but I have been able to order a new top directly from the Coleman company. The sun is what weakens the top. Mine is shaded for part of the day so that is why it may last a bit longer.

YouTube has many videos to help you add a roof to the porch, https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+add+a+porch+roof+to+existing+house

Then build some wood frames for the screens,,, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Txgtr3-PBk8

Check your local building codes. You will need to pull permits and inspections. Also get in touch with your homeowners insurance carrier.

Once the porch is enclosed, as it is connected to main structure of the house, it may be considered to be an 'addition'. Although your sq footage of living space goes up, your insurance premiums might as well. As William noted, check with your home insurance carrier.
