How do I finish the inside of an outdoor plant cedar planter?

Line it with black plastic, or a plastic trough or pots. Then put mulch over top.
use thick mil black garbage bags(need to add holes for drainage) OR you could use pond liner(need to add holes for drainage) OR landscape fabric OR even shade cloth these items will not disintegrate easily you don't tell us the size &/or shape of the cedar planters for this question or the one for legs
