How do I do a rental backsplash update?

I live in an apartment and are not allowed to do any renovations. None. Zippo. Any ideas on how I can make/hang a faux backsplash to brighten up a cream painted kitchen. (EVERYTHING is cream!)

They have faux back splashes you can install. They are removeable stickers. https://amzn.to/2Im54fK THey even have these that are tile but peel off. https://amzn.to/2Xanng7

You can glue any material for a backsplash on thin plywood backing cut to fit the backsplash area and use a few globs of clear caulk to adhere it to the walls. Would just pop right off. Double stick tape could damage the walls.

Just add some pretty canisters, colorful kitchen gadgets. Adding stickers or anything you attach to tile could damage it upon removal. If you can find cling ins, that could work depending on tiles.

There are some cool plastic sheets at Home Depot and Lowes you can put on the wall. Small brads to tack them up side by side that can easily be filled with spackling since they make tiny holes. You can cut the panels with a scissors to fit.

Hang a pretty mirror, or go to Goodwill and get a funky painting. Also you can use starch to hang fabric like wallpaper and when you leave just dampen it and peel off.

That is a great idea! Thanks, Lorraine. I've never heard of that before. Have you done this before and because its a backsplash do you think it would wipe up ok?
