    grind or cut them up really small and add to my compost bin

    You can put them in your composter or dig a couple around the base of your roses for added fertilizer.

    Compost them for sure! You can actually direct compost them (and all of your compostable kitchen scraps). It's my favorite way to compost and is so easy...just dig a hole right in your garden - taking care not to disturb any roots, dump your material in, then cover it up. That's it! Use a little marker of some kind, if you want, so the next time you can add your material in a different area. This works really well in the "off" season when you aren't growing your garden. It's a wonderful way to feed your soil in preparation for the growing season, and it couldn't be easier!

    Blend them with used coffee grounds and work them into the soil around your roses.
