    My daughter in lot took a pretty planter and filled it with rocks for stability and put glass on top. Looks great in her patio.

    Three or four stacks of old encyclopedias glued together for stability (maybe even drill through them and run some rebar or pvc through, leaving the cover on the top book not drilled) would be cool. If you can find an old sewing machine base or pedestal table base, those would be lovely. a flat topped bar stool could work. Depends a bit on how tall you want the table and where you want to use it and for what purpose....
