I chose one of the many ideas for making gnomes with K cups, but took it a step further. I no longer try to buy Xmas gifts for my older grandchildren. Money is always the right color & size. No returns needed. So I wanted to stuff cash inside the cups. I found some silver foil peel and stick tape -- I think it was in the plumbing section of the hardware store. First I cut out circles based on the base of the cups. Then I trimmed and removed a border of about 1/4". This allowed me enough area to stick to the base of the cups, but no sticky surface in the opening to worry about the cash sticking to it. They were totally surprised when they punctured the base of the gnome and I enjoyed making a cash gift more personal.
