well, the best way is to repot it. the neck is fine, I have one that is sort of a corkscrew, but I just put a little violet specific soil around it. you can also just take on of the bottom leaves and lay it on the soil - just the stem in and the leaf laying on top of the soil, and it might take and start a smaller blossom to disguise the skinny neck. I have some violets that are over 20 years old, and as the lower leaves die, you get that neck.
