I have weeds that have grown into trees. How can I find someone to dig them up? I want to keep the plants that are in the beds.

See if you have kids in your neighborhood that would like a few bucks. Be fair in pay and get the parents permission. Show them what you want taken out and how you want it done, I would divide the beds into sections so they don't feel overwhelmed. Make sure drinks and treats are available for taking a break from the heat.

The most responsive online group for me lately has been "nextdoor". You will be connected with neighbors in your area and groups are very active and helpful to all kinds of subjects, including recommendations for services around the house.

Contact a boy or girl scout troop leader. They could have some kids that would like to earn a badge for their work. Or pay someone from your church or club you belong to.

  • There are lots of high school and college age kids home now looking for work. I would try to tap someone responsible and reliable in your neighborhood.
