What can I plant along a steep driveway wall to fence it in?
I worry about little kids playing on the grass(well, weeds right now, it's in the works) and falling off this wall onto the driveway. Any ideas on what kind of hedge of bushy plants I could plant along here that would look nice and keep little kiddos safe? Thank you!

A lot of choices. One thing would be to go to a local nursery or homecenter and see what is native or will grow for your locale.

You need to figure out your planting zone and then decide on what kind of bushes you want, flowering or plain hedge. Low maintenance would be good so something flowering would look really nice but take a while to grow to your desired height to protect the children. Another option is to place a lattice fence along the top of the wall by installing a base plate screwed or bolted into the wall and then a frame placed on it so you can add the lattice.
No matter what you plant there, the kids will STILL try to walk along the top of that wall. I say go for a fence there, then add the bushes to soften it, but keep the bushes lower, so your front door can still be seen.
SM has a point. Kids will be kids. But to answer your question, I'd go with Japanese Boxwood. It doesn't grow fast, but it's hearty and dense. You can start with a low hedge and keep it trimmed to whatever height you like. It's fairly common - so not too expensive, either. No thorns or flowers to attract wasps and bees. I also thought junipers for the same reasons, but then decided that too many people have allergic reactions to touching it, so the Japanese Boxwood is my recommendation. Do a bit of research to see if it will thrive in your planting zone.
I agree that you should know your growing zone and native plants before making a choice. Yes, kids will be kids and will try to be up there. You could put something with thorns on it to keep them away. Or, make a mat on the driveway from pool noodles to keep them safe on top of the shrubs.
