How can I make over a bathtub to be a seating area?
I really don’t want to doltish the tub but maybe build a seating area by covering the tub and convert the underside to storage areA , I need some ideas thanks

Fit a large 3/4” plywood board on top of tub, You could first put a layer of foam on the board and use staples to upholster it. Set on top of tub. Surround the board on the three sides with throw pillows to match. Now you have a beautiful bench! Also if you don’t like seeing the base of the tub front—then use extra material and make a skirt to complete the look!
We hanged up a dowel rod and sheet, put a piece of plywood over the tub, and made a storage area/closet for coats/sweaters out of ours as we never used it, we use only the shower on the other side of the room. It looks great and took a great storage problem off our hands. Now the clear tubs on the plywood hold the off season clothes too
