How to refurbish an old leather Purse that lost its original texture?
An old leather purse has lost its original finish, looks as if leather has peeled off. Can it be polished to look like its original shade? Please help!

there are dyes for leather, used plenty of them restoring saddles. they work well.

Try using Saddle Soap. Great on leather purses and boots, wallets - anything leather. I don't know if it will restore areas where top layer of leather appears to have been worn off, but it evens out color, removes and prevents water spots. If applied to undamaged leather it makes it water resistant and prevents damage. It can be applied with a soft cloth the same as when using shoe polish.
