Hi there, here is one idea that I thought was really pretty and could also be used for a planter.

Table Leg Candle Holders
Hi Tuesday,
I just made some garden "mushrooms" using old ceiling globes for the tops. Some people use old upside down bowls. The legs would make great "stems" for the "mushrooms". You could also make "flowers" from painted old whisks and again use them for "stems", or use them to mount solar lights. Have fun! Wishing you the best.
Adding a pair of round or square pieces of wood will create a plant stand or accent table for a corner. You could also use a wood base and a marble tile. I would make the base slightly larger.
I attached a tiny birdhouse to a chair leg spindle to make these https://www.homeroad.net/2016/07/5-beautiful-diy-garden-birdhouses.html
