How do I prevent wash outs of dirt?

Every time it rains l get a wash out of dirt, garage is built in a hill, big room above the garage. No way for gutters, when it rains water off of roof washes away hill along side of block wall that is the garage. What may I put on hill to keep it from washing away every time it rains ?? Gutters makes Ice Dams in Winter, I have MS in a wheel chair can not get up there to clear ice from a wheel chair as of yet !! Thank You for your ideas.. Randy from Ellsworth Michigan.

Could you have someone put up a wall of sandbags or concrete to block some of the water and/or build a trench to divert it?
Sounds like you need French drains. I would get a few consults with licensed landscapers or a contractor to see what would best prevent further erosion that might compromise the structure.

Perennial ivy Could work, but the sandbags and French drains would be useful infrastructure, especially until the Ivy “took”.

Can you get some gravel chips laid down where the water drips off? You would likely need a layer of gravel about 4 inches deep, but that should work,.
