sprinkle comet cleanser where they are coming in. They are tenacious. Sometimes I just zap um with nasty bug spray.

I had great success with liquid ant traps. I'd tried the cleanser and ant spray, but I had determined ants. I also made sure nothing was attracting them, i.e., hubby had crumbs in/under his chair. We also spray Otho Home Defense around the perimeter of our foundation and around the baseboard inside the house during the spring. Make sure you open your windows when you spray inside, and check to see if it safe for any pets. The spray has stopped the pill bugs and crickets that used to come in also. Good luck!

  • I use packaged cornbread mix that says it is sweetened and put it where they are. They will take it to the mound, everyone will eat it and die, they can't digest the cornmeal, but will take it because it is sweetened. Little goes a long way.

I read this from : Itsmemic

Medicated powder from the Dollar Tree. It has eucalyptus in it...menthol...I puff it around my homes foundation..and inside under my birdcages in the cracks under moldings. Work immediately and they never come back. I do this at the first sign of ants..in one day..GONE. The powder is in a very large container and lasts quite awhile too !! And smells great !

Not toxic to my birds OR dog

Don't waste money on traps. Get Optiguard gel ant bait from Amazon. Not the cheapest but the quickest and surest. People spray the ones they see and it does little good. You need to kill the queen in the nest or they will just move around to another area. Optiguard usually works in one day. Just a few tiny BB sized blobs in their path and gone by days end.

I swear by liquid Torro, but be careful where it is placed. One drop, they come running to it, go back to their nest and never see them again....until next year, that is!!!
