I have one of those plastic spice racks that is like a little set of stairs, and expands horizontally to fit your cabinet space. It's in a cabinet in a cool spot in the kitchen, well away from the stove, sink, etc. Each level is big enough to hold medicine bottles, vitamin bottles, and so forth; and if need be, I add some colorful markings to the caps or labels to make them easier to see.
Debbie....I use a double plastic lazy susan...Rubbermaid.
I use photo storage boxes. One for my medication and one for the pets.
