How about visiting thrift shop in the area and finding area rug, wall hangings like baskets or metal plates and even small cafe table to make it extension of your living area.
Hi Debbie,
This is something that I do before I decide on decorations or a "look". When I'm running errands around town, I look at other homes to see what looks good to me. I end up doing my "own" thing, but often it's a combination of bits & pieces from other areas. You could do the same thing with small patios. Also search ' small patio decorations ' online. You'll find a lot of ideas - some too difficult or expensive, but some affordable and easy.
I agree with the thrift shop or garage sales to find inexpensive things. Also, we don't know where you live and if you'll have to take things inside in the winter. Take that into account too. A small cafe table would look cute, but will you sit there? Maybe a comfortable chair and a side table would work better. Those can be made with various items that don't cost much. Here's one made with a flower pot. Maybe you could find a large flower pot at a garage sale. Let's say that there is no tray. You can buy a piece of wood at Lowes or Home Depot, cut to fit. It doesn't have to be round, but I've seen round one for about $6. Watch for spray paint to go on sale - Rustoleum was recently $2.99 per can and this can be adapted. You could turn the pot upside down if you like that look better. Look around and let your imagination be inspired by something you see. Wishing you the best.
Thank you Linds you have some great ideas. Will definitely use them
Find some wicker furniter from a thrift store and paint it white. Get a small white table to put near the furniture. Bright pink and yellow flowers around will also brighten up any space!
I put a hammock on my patio. Had 2 comfy plastic chairs with small table on one end with potted flowers around. If you have a place for a Boston fern that would look nice and put some colorful pillows on the hammock.
