You can buy precut wooden disks at a craft or home improvement store and connect them by nailing slats all around. Stain or paint, and you have two shelves.
There are several ideas you can use: 1) use a tower that is made for growing herbs vertically (they are rubber, easy to put up and easy to water) the orchids would be in each hole, kinda like an herb or strawberry tower 2) stack terra cotta on a pole and fill with orchids 3) a vertical plant stand made to sit in a corner or by a window (they love indirect sunlight all day so by a window would be great) Here I found some tutorials for you:
