How do I smooth out a table top made of pieces of colored glass?

    you can cover the table in epoxy.

    Pour resin over the whole top. Be sure it is a good clear one so that it does not yellow later.

    I love the idea of pouring resin to give an epoxy top! That you could definitely do...however if you didn't want to put that kind of work into it, you could just get a solid tempered glass cut to fit the table on top. It sounds like it is a nice mosaic on top of the table. If you cover with epoxy you might never be able to get to the mosaic again if you wanted to use the table top for something else. This way you have access to the mosaic.
