How do I even up my ceiling?

Looks like those ceiling tiles were tacked up after the closet. Check your local home improvement store (even take a tile with you) you might get lucky and be able to buy a few new ones to fill in where the closet was.
I agree. Ceiling tiles were put up after the closet. They look like common tiles. Home Depot, Lowes, and Menards should have similar or close.
Thank you guys for your input, I think I’ll be able to build up to even it out than put tile down.Im thinking design tile.But I do appreciate the comments.
If you are wanting a smooth look, then remove all the tiles and put up sheet rock.
Depending on the age of the tiles, I would test them for asbestos as well.
Shim your low areas. I have sheetrock on my ceilings but the way the house was built they didn't install proper support for the rafters etc, so shim your edges
