How to make a message/schedule center for my family?

A small piece of smooth board can be painted with chalkboard paint. Cork can be glued to a board for tacking up messages. Also, a piece of Melamine can be used as a white board. All of these can be used in any combination. A frame can be put around your message board to make it look nice and then n the wall. It can also have magnets attached s it can stick to a metal surface like a fridge. Stainless steel fridge may not attract magnets.
